An airplane is taking off from a runaway with airspeed of 130 km/hr. A car driving at 120 km/hr on the runaway is able to remain just below the airplane. At what angle is the airplane climbing?

The horizontal component of the airplane’s velocity = the car’s velocity for this to happen.
So if x is the angle of the airplane’s climb, then
130cosx = 120
cos x = 12/13
x = 22.6°
